Capturing moments between loved ones and holding them still in time…it’s a photographers rush of adrenaline as we fall behind the lens. I am so thankful for the opportunity to photograph such beautiful, fun and loving families. The Ebervein Family was no exception! This shoot was extra special to me because Bri is my colleague, my friend and most importantly my parkour sidekick. I’ve known Bri and her mom for quite a few years and they are truly part of our ‘Illinois family’. We met up with the entire family early on a Saturday morning at a location I stumbled upon by accident. It was a gorgeous setting for a very gorgeous family! The Eberveins were as happy as can be as we battled the annoying mozzies and carried several bags full of props and snacks throughout the park. My assistant, a.k.a. my husband, was fabulous with his lighting duties and also going above and beyond by playing strange sounds very loudly through portable speakers and his ipod (I’m sure the other park goers were pleased with this). It was so helpful in getting this HUGE family to look my way and flash us a genuine smile.
