Logan

Not only is Logan a cutie pie, but this little guy is one tough boy.  I met up with Logan and his family early on an extremely chilly fall morning to snap some shots of him in action.  Despite the cold weather, this little man was all smiles!  He seemed to get a kick out of having free reign to tour the sidewalks and alleyways in the urban location we were in. We had to take one break just to warm up, but Logan was happy to face the cold for another round.  I just love this boy!  He is so fun and sweet! Actually, I just love this family – they are beautiful, inside and out!  Thanks for a great shoot and enjoy the photos!

Nora Brynn | 3 Years Old

This little cutie pie is my niece, Nora Brynn.  I am one lucky auntie to have this smart, silly and vibrant little girl as my Goddaughter.  I was so happy my sister, Ashley, asked me to take photographs of her little almost three-year-old beauty.  While we were home visiting in Minnesota, we met up downtown to snap some shots before the sun set.  We had a lot of fun walking down alleyways and next to old buildings I had never really noticed before.  After living here for 23 years I never knew we had so many awesome backdrops for photographs – it was perfect!  Nora had a blast running, jumping, singing and just being her silly self.  I could spend every day playing with my happy little Brynner. Enjoy the photos! We love you, Miss Nora!

Noah & Adam

This Minnesota session was with my cousin Lisa and her two handsome boys, Noah and Adam.  We started out downtown for the urban portion of the shoot.  The boys were being…well… boys and were playing the “too cool card” of course.   Since I know these two kiddos pretty well, I know they like to roughhouse so I started the boys off right away with some jumping and playing around.  I captured the best smiles when I told them to be serious…works every time!    It was fun to hang out with these little guys and get to know them outside of our usual family functions.   Lisa’s boyfriend, Jeff, was able to join us and get in on a few photos as well.  Enjoy!

Brody & Breckyn

While visiting Minnesota in September, I managed to squeeze in a few shoots with friends and family back home.  When my friend Lisa asked me to take photos of her adorable family, I was very excited.   Lisa was a bridesmaid in our wedding over eight years ago and I also went to school with her husband, Keith.  With our busy schedules over the years,  we haven’t stayed in touch as often as we’d like.  However, Lisa is one of those people in my life that I can pick up right where we left off immediately when we reconnect.  So we did just that during the session! We started with a few indoor shots where Brody showed me his tractor collection and how high he can bounce on his trampoline before we went to a local park.  What a handsome little man Brody is!  I had my work cut out for me chasing him around.  Brody’s ADORABLE little brother, Breckyn, was just as wonderful with his chubby little cheeks and happy personality.  The boy has his Mommy’s gorgeous blue eyes indeed.  I could have held Breckyn all day long!  Lisa and Keith, thanks for allowing me to spend an afternoon snapping photos of your beautiful family! Enjoy!

Jeremy & Mandy | Engagement

You know a photographer goes above and beyond the call of duty… when she schedules a session so that her clients can watch the Bears game, but she has to miss the Vikings game.  :)  I met up with Mandy and Jeremy late on a Sunday afternoon and we were lucky enough to have both good lighting and perfect weather.    I love engagement sessions because it’s so much fun to watch two people, fresh in love, interact with one another.  These two lovebirds were so CUTE together!   It didn’t take long for them to warm up in front of the camera…I had to remind them I was there at times because they were having fun together.  Mandy and I worked together at the elementary school where I used to teach.  She’s always been able to make me laugh hysterically and this session was no exception. Considering I don’t think he knew what he was getting into, Jeremy was awesome.  I couldn’t be happier that my friend Mandy has found such a great guy to spend her life with.  He is one lucky man!  Thanks for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives, Jeremy and Mandy.  All the best!

Mandy Thank you so much Heather! We love the pictures!

Nadia | Two Years Old

Katrina is a friend of mine and when she asked me to take her daughter’s two year photos, I was honored and super excited.  Nadia is a DOLL – Look at those curls!  She is the spitting image of her beautiful mama!  It took little Nadi awhile to warm up to the camera, but she soon seemed to forget I was even there (which is always a goal of mine).  Nadi’s step sister was there to help me keep her focused and smiling.  When we made our last stop at a very cool water fountain, I was having a blast photographing vibrant Nadia having the time of her life in the water.  What a sweetie pie!  I had a difficult time choosing which pictures to post of this gorgeous family…and Daddy thought he wasn’t going to be in any of the photos (haha).  Thanks for a great morning in the park, B Family! Enjoy!

Katrina Thank you so much Heather for a great time! The pic’s are great! Though she was a stinker for most of it, you seemed to capture some fun times!

Brittany | Senior

Beautiful Brittany!  Isn’t she stunning?!  This girl is as sweet as she looks and I very much enjoyed spending time with this sweetheart for her senior session.  We met up at a field near Brittany’s home and after trudging through trails we finally made it to the gorgeous setting Brittany and her mom chose.  Unfortunately, the weather does not always cooperate with every scheduled shoot.  However, the weather and lighting was absolutely perfect on the evening of Brittany’s shoot and I was in photographer’s heaven.  Despite almost falling into a stream, having our legs torn apart by the thick underbrush and being eaten alive by mosquitos, Brittany had a great attitude and we had a wonderful session.  To wrap things up, we stopped by a nearby urban setting and snapped a few shots before the sun went down.

I had a difficult time choosing which photos to post on the blog.  I simply love ALL of them!  Brittany you are gorgeous!  Enjoy your photos my dear and best wishes your senior year and wherever life leads you after.
