Fred and Ro had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Their children wanted me to capture moments of a special tradition they’ve had in their family for many years…going to the apple orchard! What could be better than hot cider, apple cider donuts and picking apples on a crisp fall morning with the ones you love? This was, without question, one of our favorite shoots and a tradition we’d like to start with our own family.
The day of the shoot brought upon a cold and extremely windy morning, but that didn’t stop the L Family from enjoying each others company. After posing for a few shots and warming up with some apple cider, I spent the rest of the morning following them around the orchard while they were in their element. In fact, Ro said, “Oh, I forgot you were here!” at one point and boy did that make me smile! The best memories I can freeze in time are the moments people are truly comfortable and being themselves. The L Family is a family that definitely knows how to have F-U-N! As you’ll see, Grandpa Fred didn’t hold back from spitting chewed up apple bits all over his family… and retaliation was soon to follow. It was just amazing to witness the love that exists within this family. Simply gorgeous people…inside and out! Happy 50th Fred and Ro!
