Mike

When I was asked to take Mike’s senior pictures, I was so excited that he was willing to make the trip to my neck of the woods for our photo session.  I had been itching to use our unique, old-school downtown area for a background and this was perfect timing.

The A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E  and athletically-talented Mike graduated from high school early this past December and left for Western Michigan to begin training for the 2010 college football season.  While he was on a short break from training, we managed to sneak in a quick photo session… right after Mike’s trip to a tropical location and the night before he was returning to Michigan.  Interestingly, Mike’s coach requires his players to complete a community service plan.   I actually met him for the first time the morning of the day of his photo session when he arrived in my classroom to assist my fourth-grade students with a project.   Let’s just say…the kids were in awe of the big, burly and cute football player spending time with them.  What a great assignment Western Michigan’s coach requires of his players!

During the shoot, I had an absolute blast with Mike and his mom!  She did a wonderful job making him laugh and I’m pretty sure I totally embarrassed him by telling him how handsome and adorable he is.  They were both great sports as we ventured all over town to find the perfect locations for Mike’s shoot.  We ran into some ‘interesting’ pedestrians, took our chances on the railroad tracks, and even climbed over a fence to reach one of our locations (well at least three of us did).  I just couldn’t decide which ones I like best, so I just posted a plethora of photos from our time together.  Enjoy!
