I'm short & strategically married to a very tall man. I used to be an athlete and wish I still was. I'm obsessed with sports and am a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan which has taught me how to handle great disappointment...time and time again. I have a candy addiction, but wish I didn't & chocolate milk is the way to my heart. I'm goofy and enjoy making others laugh (mainly at me). I wish I lived somewhere warm, but I love the midwest. I've been blessed to have traveled to amazing places far from 'home' and dream of discovering more of God's creations.

I'm a small-town girl from Northern Minnesota, otherwise known as 'the tundra'. Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a teacher or a movie star/singer...it's an extremely good thing for everyone that I chose to become an elementary teacher. With the encouragement of family and friends, I've started to pursue my love for photography...

Christian | Senior 2012

One of my last sessions in Chicago before taking a break to prepare for our move to Minnesota was Christian’s senior shoot. I was so excited to shoot on Kenzie bridge and just happened to stumble upon a sweet old school tire shop for the perfect setting. Christian was a natural in front of the camera and had the serious look, I sometimes request, mastered. He’s a smart, laid-back type of guy with a very good heart might I add. I especially think Christian is one amazing dude because he is a “big ‘human’ brother” to our (well now ‘their’) golden-retreiver, Chandler. Christian’s family adopted Chandler when our daughter had allergy issues as a newborn. Couldn’t have asked for a better family to love and care for our pup! Christian, thanks for being the perfect, handsome model for one of my last sessions in the spectacular city of Chicago. We wish you the best during your senior year and many blessings on your future plans after high school. Just promise me you’ll come home often from college to love on your loyal doggie, Chandler. Enjoy!

Lila | Two Years Old

Meet Lila! She’s sweet, adorable and one of the happiest little two-year-olds I know. On our travels back to Chicago, we stopped in Minneapolis to meet up with little Lila and her mommy, Aimée, for a fun session by the lake. Aimée and I ran cross country and track together in high school so I couldn’t have been more excited to see her after several years and finally meet her little angel, Lila. I’ve never seen a photo of Lila not smiling and she stuck to true form throughout our entire session. She loved looking at boats, watching ducks, dipping her toes in the water and saying hello to puppies that passed by. Most of all, I’m pretty sure she enjoyed just being with her mama. The bond between Lila and Aimée was undeniable. SO.MUCH.LOVE. My favorite part about the afternoon was after I put down the camera and my daughters, Ava and Ella, got to hang out with rock-star Lila. They were like three peas in a pod! The girls sat together on a bench, giving high fives, clapping hands and feeding each other grilled cheese. They left each other with hugs and kisses until next time. So sweet! Aimée, you are an outstanding mother and are truly blessed to call such a beautiful, sweet and joyful little girl your daughter. xoxo

Aniston | 15 Months

I’m excited to share another fun session from my time in Minnesota! This is little Aniston; isn’t she sweet and adorable? Aniston’s mom and I grew up playing sports together so this was again another special session for me to shoot. This little doll was a sweetie pie and a great sport as we ventured to find a wheat field that hadn’t already been harvested. Another special stop we had was at a nearby farm where a friend of Chrissy’s family pulled out the first tractor (from the 70’s) her dad purchased during his first years of farming. It was pretty cool to take pictures of the girls next to the tractor. Enjoy the photos of this cute little girl and her pretty mama!

Austin & Ethan

While home in Minnesota, I met up with the adorable A Family for a session at their new home. They wanted to capture the boys hanging out and being themselves on their own turf. Austin and Ethan are the cutest and sweetest littles boys. They played so well together and obviously have a strong bond as brothers. This was an extra special session for me to shoot because I grew up with Katie. She is one of the kindest and most genuine people I know and it was pretty cool to watch her family interact. They all adore each other to pieces and are truly beautiful inside and out. Thanks for a great morning just chilling at your place A family!

Emily | Six Months | Chicago Beach Session

OH.MY.GOODNESS. Little Miss Emily rocked her six month session on Chicago’s Montrose Beach! Her parents were nervous about her being able to sit up, but this cutie pie not only sat up like a champ the entire shoot, she smiled while doing so. Emily’s parents obviously adore her, but who wouldn’t? She’s so sweet! What a perfect session to put the new camera to the test. Loving it! Happy six months, little doll! xoxo
